INTERACTIVE MAP

THANK YOU FOR CHECKING OUT OUR INTERACTIVE WELSH CASTLE MAP!

When you click on a castle icon, it will display a bit of information about each castle, including its: Name, Full Address, Date of Construction, Castle Type, and its State of Preservation.

As there is a lot of information throughout this site, there are bound to be issues and some inconsistencies, if you’ve spotted anything wrong please use the contact form on this page and select the “I have spotted an issue” option from the dropdown menu and we’ll update it as quick as we can. However, please source any information you are correcting us on, as we want this website to become a true educational resource!

Alternatively, if you’d like to suggest any features then you can use the contact form on this page and select the “I want to suggest a feature” option from the dropdown menu and we’ll respond as soon as we can.

HOW TO SEARCH THE MAP

Please note, this feature is currently only supported on desktop.

If you’re looking for a particular castle, or you want to find all 12th century castles for example, click on the “View larger map” button in the top right-hand corner of the map:

You will be taken to another window where you can use a search box to refine the castles by whatever criteria you want!

This map is a free resource, so please feel free to use it for your own projects!

I’d like to thank the following websites for their brilliant information and who’s dedication to Welsh heritage helped us create this interactive map:
